WHO WE ARE

Our story…

If you know us, you know we love what we do, and we do it with passion. If you don’t know us, let’s get acquainted. The PLANET Group is in the business of providing promotional merchandise and incentive marketing.

That means we work with you to identify the best ideas that will motivate, reward and celebrate. We will help create and implement incentive programs to achieve your goals. We track down and screen suppliers to ensure we have a diverse range of unique, affordable, exciting merchandise that folks actually want and use.

We look after the details that you care about, for the people you care about. Your team, your suppliers, your clients, your prospective clients, your customers.

Our Ethos…

When we opened our doors more than 16 years ago, we chose the name "The Planet Group" out of our collective passion to protect our planet.

TPG is committed to reducing our own impact on the environment by helping our clients discover ethical and ecological options for their projects at every scale.

How We Work….

  • We will not work with factories that exploit their employees by employing child or forced labour, ensuring that wages, benefits and working conditions exceed all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

  • We will always strive to offer eco-friendly and sustainable options when quoting on projects. However sometimes it’s not always possible for these products to fulfill a project's exact needs or budgetary constraints. For these occasions, we offer a carbon offset service where we will donate a portion of the funds towards a gold standard carbon offset project as a way to lessen the environmental impact of your project.

  • TPG uses the Suzuki Foundation recommended Gold Standard organization to manage our carbon offset credits and projects. Our commitment to the environment extends to our customers, our staff, and the community in which we operate. These programs will offset a minimum of 24 tonnes of carbon emission per year in addition to contributing to sustainable and ethical work initiatives.

  • In addition to encouraging telecommuting for our team, operating a paperless office, we also operate a carbon neutral office space through Bullfrog Power. Bullfrog’s green electricity comes from wind and water sources across Canada—from the waters of Newfoundland to the breezes of B.C’s mountain ranges. They inject green electricity and green natural gas onto the system to match the amount of power our business uses.

  • Cleaner, Safer water in Cambodia

The project creates rural employment opportunities in filter manufacturing and distribution. Women make up 47% of Hydrologic’s staff, including 60% of top-level managers and 60% of the rural sales force. Hydrologic also works with a microfinance institution to sell filters on credit, making them affordable for more Cambodians.

    Planting Biodiverse Forests in Panama

By sourcing timber from primary rainforest or harvesting large-scale monoculture plantation, the timber trade has significantly depleted tropical rainforests. CO2OL Tropical Mix is looking to change that by introducing sustainable timber production while reforesting degraded pastureland with a mix of native tree species and teak. The resulting forests offer a natural habitat for native animals and plants, protect and enrich the soil, save and filter water and contribute to the mitigation of climate change.
